Dear Sponsor
Millions of teens are having children outside of wedlock in record numbers according to the New York Times. The effects of this problem has been seen throughout the country as welfare rolls increase and the rate of high school drop outs increase as well as violence among our youth soar. These are just a few of the things that accompany parenting teens.
Purity Jam has become an alternative for at risk teens to take the challenge of remaining abstinent and not feeling out of place because thousands of other youths are joining them.
Our vision is to see youth living as ambassadors for purity in their schools, communities, and homes and abstaining from self-dest4ructive behaviors, while making positive choices toward their future.
Our mission is to provide youth with a positive presence in the lives of youth, from their perspective using music, arts and person stories. We also give social affirmation and communal support for youth to maintain their covenant of abstinence. Additionally, we offer churches and educational institutions training programs on chastity and abstinence.
Purity Jam is the hallmark program to reach teens with the message that it is possible to make positive choices and have the support of their peers and adults. On June 23, 2000 over 500 teens celebrated with teens living chaste lives. As you can see Purity Jam isn't another "Just say No" Program. Teens attend monthly meetings for support and education that provides behavioral instruction on how to live pure.
What are the benefits of being a "Purity Jam Sponsor?" You will help save thousands of teens from becoming statistics in our society. You give Purity Jam the resources to teach young men and women to fish. Noted authored Steven Covey says, "feed a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a life time." You will help us create fisherman for life. In closing we would like to thank you for your support.
