When I first heard about the Purity Jam I thought it might be a little shady.

I thought my friends would tease me and dislike me, especially boys.

Mostly because my friends are Not virgins. All the time they are talking about when they got it. How they got it, when they gonna to get some more.
I felt like I was missing out.

Well, of course I was wrong. The only thing I would be missing out on is a disease and two to three kids before I'm 21.

Even now one of my little sister's friend who is 12 years old is 8 months pregnant. Fun has already been eliminated from her life. She is embarrassed and ashamed, and she still sucks her thumb.

I also thought the Purity Jam meant just being a virgin.

Well I was wrong again.

At our monthly meetings we are taught to set goals for ourselves and live life to the fullest. You know reaching for the stars.
I thought there would only be a few of us standing for abstinence. But each purity brings hundreds more.

In conclusion, the Purity Jam gives me a positive goal to reach and a higher standard to live for. It gives my life more purpose - which many youth do not have.
The more youth hear about the Purity Jam the more youth will want to be a part of this positive goal and purpose.

Christian youth and left scars
of broken hearts, broken promises
and broken futures.

It is believed that our busy
schedules and the lack of family
time along with the media arena
of advertisements, television,
video's, music, and magazines
have been major contributors to
offering our youth colorful
self-indulgence, without the bleak
consequences of their actions.

Solution

This program offers youth an
positive alternative to
destructive behaviors. High
energy ignites our youth to
say NO to teen sex, drugs,
and alcohol and to say YES
to living their precious lives,
to it's fullest potential.
We have crossed gender, racial
and denominational differences.

Why? To UNITE and SAVE
OUR CHILDREN
